After studying Graphic Design and Illustration at the University of Suffolk, Guy started working in the creative industry in 2002. Whilst working full time he also spent evenings and weekends working freelance with the dream of one day running his very own design agency. Fast forward 11 years and that dream became a reality when GCD became his sole source of income for his new young family.
Now a father of two, Guy is passionate about creating memorable and engaging brands for our clients. In his own words “Every brand identity we create is like one of my children, and they form part of the GCD family tree. I want them to be successful and will ensure we do all we can to support that success and build long term working relationships with our clients”.
In his spare time Guy enjoys road cycling, football and watching motorsport – and loves nothing more than taking his young family to race weekends to see GCD sponsored driver Rob Welham compete in the F1000 series.
Carl is a creative professional with almost three decades of experience. Having studied Design Communications at Suffolk College, his career has seen him working in various roles in the design, marketing and publishing industries. Carl brings this wealth of experience to GCD across all aspects of the design process.
Carl is extremely dedicated, with a keen eye for detail and an incredibly varied skill set. “I love the process of meeting a new client, understanding their needs and curating a project from the foundations up to provide a solution that we’re all proud of.” he says.
When Carl’s not working, he enjoys nothing more than spending time with his young family, supporting his son’s football team and getting out running or cycling when times allows!
James studied Graphic Design at the University of Essex, qualifying in 2009 and brings over a decade of creative industry experience in numerous sectors bringing a rich diversity to the team. He loves nothing more than visual problem solving and bringing his clients’ ideas to life. In his own words, “There is nothing more rewarding than seeing your branding in use in a live environment.”
James is attentive and listens carefully to what clients are looking to achieve, whether it’s a specific piece of collateral like a brochure, banner or a complete brand refresh, his creative flare, eye for detail and design knowledge shine through in his ability to develop original ideas.
Our resident adrenaline junkie has a passion for powerboating and travel. In his spare time James loves to be outside gardening, in fact, he has started a garden design diploma as a side interest. James is also a keen baker, which isn’t great news for the waistlines in the studio.
